Fresh timing belt service just completed July 2019! Wonderfully maintained since new and nicely equipped with Daytona Seats, F1 paddle-shift 6-speed transmission, new Michelin Pilot Sport A/S tires, silver brake calipers, and sat/nav Hi-Fi audio system! Showing only 20,321 miles! Gorgeous 360 Spider!
Following the beautiful F355, the new Pininfarina-designed F360 Modena Coupe & Spider debuted in 1999. It featured an all-aluminum space frame providing a 28% lighter chassis that was also 40% stiffer. It allowed for designers to provide a larger 10% larger overall body to enhance interior space and suspension performance. Only 2,389 Spiders would find their way to the United States, and of those, the majority featured the Electrohydraulic F1 style 6-speed manual paddle shift transmission at 1,719 units. Powering this rear-engine powerhouse was a new 3.6L V8 with flat plane crank and titanium connecting rods pushing the redline to 8,700rpm! It provided 395 bhp and 275 lb. ft. of torque launching this Italian beauty to 60 mph in only 4.6 seconds, and 100mph in a tick over 11 seconds, and a top speed of 175mph!
Offered here is a beautiful 2003 Ferrari 360 Spider finished in factory applied Argento Nurburgring (Silver) over gorgeous Black Leather Daytona seats! Features include power folding top, keyless entry with anti-theft system, adaptive Sport suspension, silver brake calipers, power windows, dual 8-way seats, air conditioning, power mirrors, 18” 5-spoke alloy wheels, hi-fi sound satellite/navigation system with 6-disc CD changer, passenger vanity mirror, heated outside mirrors, and more!
Built in March 2003, this exceptional example found its way to its first owner in New York before making its way westward to Colorado in approximately 2009. It was always serviced by Ferrari authorized centers with its first timing belt service completed by Ferrari/Maserati/Bentley of Denver at 10,925 miles in May 2010. This included new Capristo tensioner bearings, Dayco belts, cam gaskets, and all drive belts, fresh fluids, spark plugs, & filters. It would sell to a San Antonio, TX enthusiast later that same year. Per typical maintenance intervals, this Spider was serviced annually by Barrett Ferrari/Maserati/Jaguar through the end of 2013. They would offer the car for sale in November 2013 with 18,500 miles on the odometer and sell to a cardiologist in Florida. It would travel back to Ferrari/Maserati of Long Island, New York for full service inspection in September 2015. They would replace the F1 transmission pump & relay along with an engine oil/filter change. Once back in Florida, minimal mileage would be added to the odometer. Servicing would commence with European Performance & Repair of Vero Beach. New Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3+ tires were added in 2017. Among regular inspections, they would replace the F1 angular speed sensors in February 2019 at 20,235 miles.
Upon arrival to the St. Louis Car Museum in April of 2019, it was immediately treated to a full timing belt service just this July 2019. This included a new Hill Engineering cam belt tensioners, OEM Dayco timing belts, new transmission fluid, transaxle gear oil, engine & cabin air filters, new spark plugs, coolant, alternator belt, power steering belt, fresh engine oil/filter with new drain plug and copper washer, new front & rear brake pads, oil suction fan gaskets, and ABS pump & F1 pump relay. Now showing only 20,321 miles, this gorgeous Ferrari 360 Modena is absolutely ready for the next owner! We do need to note that the CarFax reported an incident where this Spider hit an earth embankment (median) in January 2006. The damage was limited to the undercarriage shielding, and driver's side front wheel leaving scratches that were later corrected. It continues to wear all original body panels and paintwork. We feel confident this example will easily fulfill the next owner's expectations. The headlight lenses remain perfectly clear, the factory Ferrari windshield remains intact, and it already possesses the 3M clear bra on the forward portion of the hood, outside mirrors, lower air dams, and inner wheel wells for added paint protection. The interior leathers are in excellent condition without any dash shrinkage whatsoever or sticky control buttons. Complete with all original tool kit, all books/manuals, and Ferrari embossed silk storage car cover, it should put this Spider at the top of the wish list! We invite interested parties to call with questions or schedule a chance to review in person!
