The Camaro was Chevrolet's answer the ever-growing popularity of the Ford Mustang. Being introduced just two years after the Ford pony car, Chevy wanted to impress buyers with more aggressive body lines, multiple trim options, along with both big and small block engine options. It instantly made a dent in Ford sales and continued to do so each and every year, igniting a new generation of the Ford/ Chevrolet rivalry. The final year of this first-generation Camaro came about in 1969 and continues to be the most desirable today!

Offered here is a sharply restored, Los Angeles-built, 1969 Chevrolet Camaro Sport Coupe dressed with SuperSport trim options that has been refinished in Daytona Yellow with Black vinyl bucket seat interior. This classic Chevy comes well equipped with favored options! Power comes from a later generation 454ci V8, Muncie 4-speed manual transmission, and 12-bolt rear end. Options include power front disc brakes, power steering, sport steering wheel, cowl induction hood, chrome engine dress-up kit, Deluxe console with auxiliary gauges and dash tachometer, chrome 15” Keystone 2-piece wheels, front and rear spoilers. The vehicle also includes body sill molding, wheel lip molding, roof rail drip molding, quarter trim moldings, and a blacked-out tail panel, front & rear seatbelts, Delco AM pushbutton radio, “hockey” style side stripes, Soft-Ray tinted glass, and carpeted floor mats!

A closer look at this beautiful classic shows base coat/clear coat paint, all new interior upholstery and padded carpet, fresh weather stripping throughout, new fuel system, all-new braking system including parking park cables, original LOF side and rear window glass, BF Goodrich T/A Radial tires, all new exhaust, with special attention under the hood to showcase correct GM hoses, firewall inspection markings, and so much more! It presents itself as a beautiful L78 396/375 hp for period correctness while providing the next owner a truly drivable classic car investment!
It now has ceramic-coated long tube headers, Flowmaster exhaust system with chrome tips, and Quick Fuel Technologies 650cfm carburetor atop an aluminum intake manifold for added power and outstanding sound! Upon arrival an inspection was completed here at the St. Louis Car Museum, leading our experienced maintenance team to replace the water pump, heater blower motor, and dash control cables. Our in house team also installed new front ball joints, sway bar links and bushings, new rear shocks, as well as fresh coolant, new engine oil/filter, and new air filter.
